I am officially halfway through the year of my New Year’s Resolution to blog about Superboy and the Legion of Super-Heroes (or Starring as it is still named)! Not only did I incorporate the spin-off series Karate Kid in the mix, but I also managed to produce a bit of fan-art here and there.
Admittedly the fan-art has stalled mainly because I have been taking art courses in my free time. But I do hope to post something soon once it is finished.
Six months in and I can still say this has been such a fun thing to do. It not only gives me a very deep understanding of the title, but also this important part of the Legion’s history. I do see that my knowledge on the Legion of Super-Heroes has expanded quite a bit and for that I am thankful. This really has been the perfect opportunity to blend together my passion for comic books and my love for self-expression.
As always a few updates:
First, you might have noticed this blog now sits on chrisosman.com and not chris-osman.com. chrisosman.com finally became available and I was able to gobble it up. Chris-Osman.com will be retired sometime in November or December this year when my ‘lease, rent, purchase or whatever it is called’ expires. I will be sad to see Chris-Osman.com go. It’s been with me since 2018 during an interesting time of my life. Upwards and onwards I guess.
Secondly, I added to the overall blog template the ability to share each post on social media. Currently X, Reddit, Bluesky, Facebook, and good ole fashioned email are suppoted. But I think that’s okay. Screenshot below.
Finally, we still do not have any comments 🙁 I do see quite a few eyeballs on the blog and I know there are a ton of different avenues to create comments and carry on discussions (such as the above mentioned socials) but it would still be fun to have a conversation about this with a real life person. So if you are feeling the desire to comment, please do so and I will respond so fast it will probably make you uncomfortable. I do have to approve it because there are so many spambots out there but it will happen fast. I promise.
And that’s it for Interlude II. It’s been a blast so far and here’s to the next six months and beyond!
