I’m officially one-fourth of the year in and I’m quite surprised albeit pleased with myself. I managed to hold the schedule steady and consistently post, every week, my thoughts on an issue of Superboy and the Legion of Super-Heroes. Or Starring the Legion of Super-Heroes as it were. In fact, if I think about it, I don’t think I’ve posted this much on my personal website…ever.
So this thing just might stick. Okay fine, so what now? Well, I’ve decided to make a couple of little tweaks.
Tweak one is that I’ve added a dedicated Superboy and the Legion of Super-Heroes page, which you can find right in the header. This could be handy for those who find this site by accident, such as through Google Search and might need some help navigating it. Plus you can find the posts in order, which could be handy once the number of entries grow. Screenshot below:
Tweak two is with the write-up itself. When writing up the synopsis, I’ve come to realize that they are quite long. And since it’s simply a summary of what happens, some people might find it more interesting to head straight to the “Creative Team,” which is essentially my thoughts on the issue. Or perhaps to the Super-Talk section, aka the letter’s page. Or maybe they’re interested in who will win the Medallion for that particular issue. So starting with issue #210, I’ve created a little table of contents and will do so moving forward. Here’s a screenshot below:
So hopefully for those that visit my little posts in the future, it will be a lot easier to navigate.
Another event we have coming up is the Karate Kid spin-off series, which starts at the end of 1975. The series ran for fifteen issues and I haven’t read one single issue. So not only did I have to acquire them but I have to read them for the first time, which should prove interesting. I will weave these in with the main series as it corresponds with the release date, but it looks like KK was a bi-monthly book so it should be doable.
Finally as I look back on these three months I have to say I’m having a lot of fun. When you really look at a comic book issue multiple times it becomes branded into your memory and it’s made the experience of growing and following along with the comic that much more valuable. But what I need are comments. From you. I have been eyeing the numbers and while I’m not getting anything on an epic level, I do seem to have some sort of constant readership. So if there’s anything that you would like to comment on or a conversation you would like to start, please do so and I would love to have it here.
