And speaking of Zatanna, it’s been a spell but a lot was happening. Mainly I got a job! I’ll be the Senior International Student Recruiter at HAN University of Applied Sciences and I’m absolutely thrilled. I finished my first week last week and everyone has been so nice, helpful, and I’m so impressed with the organization. I have a great feeling about it.
Oh, and I also went on vacation. I did two weeks in Austria, exploring the mountains with the family and also managed to draw a couple of things. Zatanna above and this Judge Dredd piece below.
The Judge Dredd piece is particularly memorable because I drew it with a swollen hand after being stung by a wasp. I really hate wasps.
I also managed to finish my updated Mongul poster and colored it with colored pencils. I’m going to procure a scanner so these things will actually show up a bit clearer, but you’ll have to deal with my phone scanner for now.
Other than these things life has been going pretty fast. There was a break in the summer but things are already started to pick up again. And with the new job that also means traveling, which will slowly become more and more.
On the Solicitations front, I finished the final draft, character designs, and I am now finishing up some exterior and interior designs for the first ten pages, after which I will start working on layouts and launching Season Two! I’m quite excited about it. I don’t know how quickly I will be able to get through it with the new job, but by working a few mornings and evenings, I think I will be able to pull it off before the year ends. I think I got a really good script in the can and if I can pull off the sequential art and nail the inking, I think it’ll be a vast improvement from Season One.
